How should I take PYLERA®?
It is extremely important to follow your PYLERA® treatment regimen exactly as directed:
Each dose of PYLERA® includes 3 capsules. Each dose of all 3 capsules should be taken 4 times a day, after meals and at bedtime for 10 days. You should swallow the PYLERA® capsules whole with a full glass of water (8 ounces). One omeprazole 20 mg capsule should be taken twice a day with PYLERA® after the morning and evening meal for 10 days.
Daily Dosing Schedule for PYLERA® and Omeprazole:

Omeprazole 20 mg

|After evening meal
Administration of adequate amounts of fluid, particularly with the bedtime dose of PYLERA®, is recommended to reduce the risk of esophageal irritation and ulceration, which can be associated with tetracycline hydrochloride.
It's essential to finish the medication, even if you start to feel better. Skipping doses or not completing the full course of PYLERA® plus omeprazole may:
- decrease the effectiveness of the immediate treatment and
- increase the likelihood that bacteria will develop resistance and will not be treatable by PYLERA® plus omeprazole or other antibacterial drugs in the future
PYLERA® comes with a Daily Dosing Pack. This handy plastic pack holds one day's dosage of 12 PYLERA® capsules and two omeprazole capsules. Simply load the pack by inserting 12 PYLERA® capsules and 2 omeprazole capsules into the designated slots. The best time to do this is right after your last dose each day, so your next day's regimen is ready to go. The PYLERA® regimen may seem like a lot of pills to take each day but it is only for 10 days and the Daily Dosing Pack will be very helpful in keeping you on track.
